Home remedies for flu
Garlic and Onions
Garlic may not be good for your breath, but certainly is good for your health. It was used as a medicine long ago and is often called a natural antibiotic. Garlic contains vitamins C and B6, as well as many minerals that help strengthen the immune system. Substance allicin present in garlic has antibacterial and antiviral properties. It is best to eat the garlic raw, not cooked. Peel and chop (or smash it) 15 minutes before consumption to make the most of it. Like the garlic, many people avoid onion also, but it is well known that might help in the treatment of colds or flu. Consume it fresh in a salad or as a garnish.
