It is believed that you can help yourself with:
- Honey. Honey has antibacterial activity and is proven to help in the healing of skin wounds.
- Shaving cream. Yes, it sounds strange, but in many shaving creams have ingredients that cools the skin and make you feel better.
- Baking soda. Make a solution of baking soda and water and apply with a cotton pad to the skin. This solution helps because it creates an alkaline environment, and has antiseptic properties.
As soon as you notice that you’ve gone too far with sunbathing, drink aspirin. The sooner, the better. Aspirin reduces pain and may reduce inflammation of the skin. Do not give aspirin to young children or teenagers. Drink plenty of water, because it is important not to let your body become dehydrated.
